WHAT CLASSES DO WE OFFER?

Ballet is about both the traditional ballet technique and vocabulary. Ballet helps
with musicality, balance, control, and muscle strength. Ballet techniques are used for many other forms of dance as many dance styles originated from ballet. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide ballet for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well for all ages.
Jazz is a very popular style of dance. It is energetic, fun and upbeat. It is based off of the techniques of ballet. While incorporating big leaps, kicks and turns. This is also usually done to new popular music. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide jazz for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well as all ages.
Tap dance focuses on rhythms and using your feet as instruments. Students will learn and use basic tap technique as well as developing  strong musicality. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide tap for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well as all ages.
Lyrical is a softer style of dance. It is an even blend between ballet and jazz. This style of dance focuses on emotions and telling a story. This is a very popular style of dance in the teen and senior classes. It gives the perfect amount of technique and discipline as well as enough free range to let go and tell a story. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide lyrical for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well as
dancers 7 years or older.
Hip Hop is the most current style of dance with all the music videos. This is a fun and exciting class. Students will be working on their musicality and developing different styles and elements of hip hop. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide hip hop for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well as all ages.
Acro is an even blend between the elements of gymnastics and dance. In class we will focus on building the strength we need to ensure the tricks can be practiced safely.  Students will be coached and spotted while performing their tasks. We also have acro gym mats that are there for safety. Here at Reach for the Stars we provide acro for both our recreational and competitive programs, as well as dancers 7 years or older.
